Acceptable Use Policy
Rules for content and activities on websites hosted or managed by PeakSpire.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all clients using PeakSpire’s services and any websites built, hosted, or maintained by PeakSpire Inc. (“PeakSpire”). It supplements the Master Services Agreement.
1. Purpose
This policy exists to protect PeakSpire, our clients, and the broader internet community. It establishes baseline standards for what content and activities are permitted on websites and services we provide.
2. Prohibited Content
Websites built or maintained by PeakSpire must not contain or link to:
- Content that is illegal under Canadian federal or provincial law
- Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against any person or group
- Content that exploits minors in any way
- Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others (copyright, trademark, patent)
- Malware, phishing pages, or content designed to deceive or defraud visitors
- Unsolicited bulk email (spam) distribution infrastructure
- Content that violates privacy laws (publishing personal information without consent)
3. Prohibited Activities
Clients must not use PeakSpire services to:
- Send spam or unsolicited commercial emails in violation of CASL
- Collect personal information without appropriate consent and a published privacy policy
- Host or distribute pirated software, media, or other copyrighted material
- Conduct phishing, social engineering, or other fraudulent activities
- Launch denial-of-service attacks or any form of cyberattack
- Operate illegal gambling, unlicensed pharmaceutical, or other regulated businesses without proper licensing
- Resell PeakSpire services without written authorization
4. Content Responsibility
Clients are responsible for all content on their websites, including:
- Text, images, videos, and downloadable files
- User-generated content (comments, reviews, forum posts)
- Third-party content embedded on their pages
- Claims made about products, services, or competitors
If PeakSpire writes content for the Client, the Client is responsible for reviewing and approving it before publication. See the Website Project Terms for the approval process.
5. Enforcement
If PeakSpire becomes aware of a violation of this AUP:
- We will notify the Client of the violation and request remediation within 48 hours.
- If the violation poses an immediate risk (malware, phishing, illegal content), PeakSpire may temporarily suspend the affected service without prior notice.
- If the Client fails to remediate within the specified timeframe, PeakSpire may terminate the service agreement.
PeakSpire reserves the right to remove content that violates this AUP without liability.
6. Reporting
If you believe a website built by PeakSpire violates this policy, contact us at info@peakspire.ca with details of the concern. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
7. Changes
PeakSpire may update this AUP from time to time. Clients will be notified of material changes at least 30 days in advance.
