Accessibility Statement
PeakSpire’s commitment to AODA compliance and WCAG 2.0 Level AA web accessibility standards.
Last Updated: March 2026
PeakSpire Inc. (“PeakSpire”) is committed to ensuring our website and services are accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (Ontario Regulation 191/11).
1. Our Accessibility Standard
We design and develop our website to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, as required by Ontario’s AODA for web content. This includes:
- Perceivable: Text alternatives for images, sufficient colour contrast, resizable text, and no content that relies solely on colour.
- Operable: Full keyboard navigation, no time-limited interactions, clear focus indicators, and descriptive link text.
- Understandable: Clear language, consistent navigation, predictable behaviour, and helpful error messages on forms.
- Robust: Valid HTML, ARIA attributes where appropriate, and compatibility with assistive technologies.
2. What We’ve Done
Specific accessibility measures on peakspire.ca include:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Skip navigation link for keyboard users
- Alt text on all meaningful images
- Colour contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Focus-visible styles for all interactive elements
- Forms with associated labels and clear error messaging
- Responsive design that works across screen sizes and orientations
- No auto-playing media or content that flashes
- Google Lighthouse accessibility audits scored 100/100 across core pages
3. Known Limitations
We continuously work to improve accessibility. Some areas where we are actively improving:
- Third-party embedded content (Cal.com booking widget, Stripe payment links) follows those providers’ accessibility standards, which may differ from ours.
- PDF documents (case studies, agreements) may not be fully screen-reader accessible. HTML versions are available for all legal documents on this website.
- Our AI voice assistant (Summit) is audio-only. For non-voice alternatives, contact us by email at info@peakspire.ca or through our contact form.
4. Feedback and Accommodation Requests
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, or need information in an alternative format, please contact us:
- Email: info@peakspire.ca
- Phone: (343) 842-4444
We will respond to accessibility requests within 5 business days and work with you to find a reasonable accommodation.
5. Accessible Client Deliverables
When we build websites for clients, we incorporate accessibility best practices into every project:
- Semantic HTML and proper heading structure
- WCAG 2.0 Level AA colour contrast compliance
- Keyboard navigation testing
- Alt text guidance for client-managed images
- Accessible form design
Accessibility is part of our standard service, not an add-on.
6. Continuous Improvement
We regularly audit our website using Google Lighthouse, axe DevTools, and manual keyboard and screen reader testing. Accessibility is part of every update cycle, not a one-time checkbox.
7. Ontario Human Rights Code
PeakSpire respects the rights of all individuals as outlined in the Ontario Human Rights Code. If you believe you have been discriminated against, you may contact the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
