Refund & Cancellation Policy
Clear terms for deposits, refunds, and cancellations across all PeakSpire services.

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for each PeakSpire service. We believe in transparent, fair terms. If something is unclear, contact us at info@peakspire.ca before purchasing.
1. Website Design & Development Projects
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Cancellation before work starts | Deposit is non-refundable. Remaining balance is not charged. |
| Cancellation during design phase | Client pays for work completed (hourly at $150/hr), minus the deposit. Any remaining balance is refunded. |
| Cancellation during or after development | Client pays for all work completed. No refund if work completed exceeds amount paid. |
| PeakSpire cancels the project | Full refund of all payments. All completed work is delivered to the Client. |
The 50% deposit secures your spot in our schedule. It compensates for the opportunity cost of reserving time for your project.

2. Speed Sprint

| Cancellation before work starts | Full refund minus $100 CAD administrative fee. |
| Cancellation after work has begun | No refund. All completed work is delivered to the Client. |

3. Care Plan (Monthly Maintenance)
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Cancel anytime | No refund for the current billing period. Service continues until the end of the paid month. |
| Cancel notification | Email info@peakspire.ca at least 7 days before your next billing date. |
The Care Plan is month-to-month. No long-term contract, no cancellation penalties. See the full Care Plan Terms for details.
4. Local SEO
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Cancellation during minimum commitment (90 days) | Client is responsible for the full 90-day commitment amount. No early cancellation refund. |
| Cancellation after minimum commitment | 30 days written notice. No refund for the final billing period. |
SEO is a long-term investment. The 90-day minimum commitment reflects the time required to implement strategy and see measurable results. Rankings do not change overnight.
5. Free Website Audit
The Free Website Audit is provided at no cost. There is nothing to refund. The audit does not create any commitment or obligation to purchase services.
6. General Terms
- Refund method: Refunds are processed via the original payment method (Stripe reversal for card payments, e-Transfer for e-Transfer payments).
- Processing time: Refunds are processed within 14 business days of the cancellation request.
- Taxes: Applicable HST is refunded proportionally with the service amount.
- Disputes: If you disagree with a refund decision, please contact us. We will work to find a fair resolution. If we cannot agree, the dispute resolution process in our Master Services Agreement applies.
7. Ontario Consumer Protection Act
These terms comply with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (CPA). If any term in this policy conflicts with the CPA, the CPA prevails. The CPA provides certain rights for consumers that cannot be waived by contract, including:
- A 10-day cooling-off period for certain types of agreements (e.g., agreements signed at your home)
- The right to cancel if services are not provided within 30 days of the agreed start date
- Protection against unfair business practices
Most PeakSpire engagements are initiated online or by phone at the Client’s request and may not trigger all CPA cooling-off provisions. We encourage you to understand your rights under the CPA.
